Cub Pack 366 register 26 new scouts
Bullard’s Cub Pack 366 registered 26 new cubs on Thursday night for a year of exciting fun! Pack leaders already have two cub and parent campouts planned for the Pack with plans for at least one family campout in the spring of next year.
Scouts were invited to join and they came out in force to the registration where they were welcomed by Pack leaders.
Cubmaster Richard Bingham said the pack “is going to hit the ground running with overnight campins at Caldwell Zoo on Sept. 20 and Sept. 27."
Bingham said that the Cubs are also called upon at each home football game to raise the flags which the boys enjoy to do.
Ben Wilson, with the Pack, said that the leadership is making plans for the cubs to go to Camp Pirtle in Carthage on Oct. 26 where they will shoot bows and arrows and BB guns when they attend Mom and Me. The Dad and Lad campout will be held in the spring, where they camp with their dads. The pack is planning on another family camp out at Lake Palestine in late May or early June.
Wilson said “My son had a blast in Cub Scouting and learned so much from these local leaders that really care and love these kids. Scouting teaches values that last a lifetime and allows great memories to be made for parents and cubs. Our sponsor, Bullard Southern Baptist Church, is 100 oercebt behind the scouting program and will renew our charter for this upcoming year.”
If you missed the sign up and want to still get in on the fun, call Wilson at 903-360-3053 or come to the next meeting.
Cub Scouts meet every Monday night starting at 6:30 p.m. at Bullard Southern Baptist Church in the main church building in their fellowship hall. Their fellowship hall can be accessed by the rear parking lot.
Bullard Southern Baptist is the church located across from Brook Hill School.
